After over 15 year of success in the medtech industry, Dietrich Wolf joined the company in 2014 with a view to establishing HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) as a recognized future option in glaucoma care.
He recently worked for Carl Zeiss Meditec on a disruptive new technology in oncology, winning prestigious innovation awards in both Germany and the US. Prior to Zeiss, Dietrich Wolf worked at different business divisions of Dentsply International in the field of dental implants and high-tech ceramics.
Dietrich holds a Master and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Erlangen, Germany. He did executive education programs at St. Gallen Business School in Switzerland, at UNC Keenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, NC and with Harvard Business School, Boston, MA.
Chief Technology Officer
Co-founder of the company, Philippe Chapuis joined EYE TECH CARE from its creation in July 2008.
His skills in the field of ultrasound medical devices together with his broad experience in the manufacturing of medical devices and consumables make him a major asset for the company. He is rich with nearly 20 years of experience and has a perfect knowledge of the industrial processes in the medical field.
Philippe Chapuis has spent more than 10 years with EDAP TMS where he occupied several strategic Production and R&D positions. A former Quality Manager, he was notably in charge of a technological transfer in the United States. He was then appointed Industrial Manager, in charge of the production and engineering of therapeutic ultrasound devices for the Ablatherm project (HIFU treatment of prostate cancer) and the development of the Sonolith (non invasive ultrasound treatment of urinary lithiases).
A former student at the Ecole Supérieure de l'Energie et des Matériaux, Philippe Chapuis is also a graduate of the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises.
Quality & Regulatory Affairs Director
Aurélie joined EYE TECH CARE in March 2009 and currently acts as Quality & Regulatory Affairs Director.
After completing scientific studies, Aurélie has spent the major part of her career within EYE TECH CARE. She has simultaneously occupied the positions of Project Manager and Quality Assistant in the R&D department and was finally appointed Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Director. During this period, Aurélie has acquired a broad experience in the Quality Management System. She has worked on obtaining ISO and CE-marking certifications, and has been managing relationships with the respective notified bodies since 2012. Since 2015 she has also been in charge of the product registration files outside Europe.
Aurélie Béglé holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, with a specialization in Neurosciences. Her thorough knowledge of the product and design history and her experience in pre-clinical studies, with a particular focus on the impact of ultrasound on ocular tissues, make her an essential asset for the company.
Clinical Affairs Director
In July 2008, Laurent joined Fabrice Romano and Philippe Chapuis to found EYE TECH CARE.
Laurent has more than 16 years experience in clinical trials, 14 of which, in particular, relate to medical devices: former Head of Clinical Affairs at Medicrea (surgical spinal column implants), former head of clinical studies at Sofradim (Covidien - ex Tyco Healthcare). During these years, Laurent gained enormous experience in writing clinical study protocols, setting up registers, coordinating investigators and establishing relationships with the legal authorities for reimbursement issues.
Laurent Farcy holds a Master's degree in physiology and biochemistry and a DESS (Diploma of Higher Studies) in pharmaceutical and nutritional quality control. He is in charge of the Clinical Affairs.
Managing Director CHINA
Grace Li joined the company in 2016, after 20 years’ experience and a solid track record in sales, marketing, product development, business development within the major medical device companies.
She started her career from Hewlett-Packard as medical device sales and evolved with multiple downstream sales and marketing positions within Philips and Drager, then she moved to GE healthcare upstream for product development. She recently did business development position for Carl Zeiss Meditec on a disruptive new technology.
Grace holds a Master in Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang university, Hangzhou,China.
